The Downtown Oakville Harvest Festival

Our new and improved version of the Fall Festival - Don't miss this much-anticipated event attracting over 10,000 people. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. at The Towne Square, Downtown Oakville hosts a kick-off pancake breakfast, followed by live family entertainment, games and hayrides — our legendary corn roast and some harvest specials from our local restaurants and retailers. This is a great day to bring the kids downtown to enjoy an afternoon hayride, face painting and fresh-shucked corn on the cob. Be in the greatest Downtown this fall and experience why we love Beautiful Downtown Oakville.

Tiny Tots on Parade

The merchants of Downtown Oakville invite all of those with little kids to bring their small and scary ghosts and goblins to the 15th annual Tiny Tots on Parade! This is a safe, entertaining holiday event for the little ones to enjoy. Festivities begin in Towne Square at 10:00a.m.

Downtown Oakville Tree Lighting Ceremony

Celebrate the lights, the magic, and the charm of downtown Oakville this Christmas as the businesses kick-off the holiday season with the official lighting of our fantastic new Towne Square Tree. Santa and his elves will be treating everyone to hot apple cider and holiday cheer. A special part of this evening is the annual downtown Christmas Carol-sing along with Oakville's Mayor and the Salvation Army Band. The fun begins at 7:00 p.m. in Towne Square, followed by the lighting of the tree at 7:30 p.m.

THE SHAW FESTIVAL

The world-famous Shaw Festival, a major theatrical event established in 1962, which take place each at Niagara on the Lake's Court House Theatre and Royal George Theatre on Queen Street, and at the Festival Theatre on the Queen's Parade. The Shaw Festival is actually the only event in the entire world devoted entirely to to the works of George Bernard Shaw (1856 - 1950) and his contemporaries, and no less than ten plays and musicals are staged in Niagara on the Lake each year.
